I'm feeling quite a bit better today, thanks to a signifignt amount of drugs coursing through my system. Antibiotics can be an amazing thing!
I'm really taking it easy and have managed some nap time as well as a lot of resting. I'm definitely on the mend.
I'm one of those people who has little patience for being sick. I'm just glad I have some knitting to keep me occupied.
Daughter has been wanting to learn knitting in the round with a circular needle, so she has taken over the knitting on her "chocolate berries" hat. We're just about ready to work on the decreases for the crown. I'm sure she'll do fine with that. She's becoming quite the knitter.
I cast on for a simple poncho for her tonight. It's a capelet/poncho type hybrid, similar to the Cape Bohemia poncho I've seen on several blogs. Good, quick, mindless knitting! Just what I need right now!
I have a fairly good sized wedding next weekend. On Friday, I went online to order a small fortune worth of flowers that should be arriving via FedEx from the grower's farm in Ecuador. Eek!
I won't rest easily until I have these flowers in my hot little hands. Yeah, I'm a worrier!
My local wholesalers could have gotten them for me but they would have ordered them from Ecuador as well, and they'd have doubled the price for their trouble. I took a leap of faith, whipped out my credit card and placed my order. Smell smoke? it's my plastic! hee!
So...if any of y'all are praying folks, please say a little prayer to the saint or deity that may apply here! We'll all be keeping our fingers crossed for the safe delivery of a wedding's worth of mango colored miniature callas!
My stepson flies home to Virginia tomorrow morning after being with us for just longer than a month. I know that my hubby will be needing a little extra TLC for a few days. He's always so sad when his boys leave. :(
I'm off to take more drugs and go to bed. Better living thru chemistry, yanno!
Have a great Sunday! *mwah*
