11/13/2005: "Off To Vegas!"

Tomorrow at this time we'll be in Vegas, wooohoo! I am so excited!
We'll be staying at Treasure Island this trip. I can't wait to see what it's like. The extent of our experience with TI is stopping by to watch the pirate battle outside. I don't think we've ever actually been inside the casino here on any of our Vegas trips.
On the itinerary this trip... we'll try to catch the Big Elvis show at the Barbary Coast. (we missed Big Elvis last trip and we hear that this show is a hoot!)
I love walking around and people watching on the strip, I also never miss the Bellagio Fountains. I could park myself outside on the sidewalk all night and watch those silly things!
After we celebrate my BIRTHDAY on Thursday (Free drinks, blackjack! woohoo!) we'll try to take in a midnight show of the new Harry Potter movie at Neonopolis.
Sometime during the trip, we have to go get some hot and sour soup at the Dragon Noodle company in the Monte Carlo, mmmmmmmmmm! I've been thinking about that soup since our last visit in 2002!
I've also vowed that if I win a "hand pay" (a machine jackpot big enough that the attendant has to come pay you, instead of cashing out via the machine) that I'm going to splurge on a tour of the Neon Boneyard, where all the old-school Vegas neon signs go to rust. I know I could take some killer photos of this place.
Speaking of photos, I'm planning to take LOTS of them this trip. Hubby has a new digital camera and my digital camera can take plenty of photos. I hope I can get some good images!
Can you tell I'm so so sooooo excited! I've also packed knitting and two books for some down time. I think it'll be nice to spend a morning or two by the pool, ahhhh. Not that I plan on swimming, or you know, wearing a SWIMSUIT, because... just, NO! (it's not supposed to be THAT warm anyhow)
And if you need any further Vegas strangeness, you can check out the hilarious hotel/casino ratings and reviews at Cheapo Vegas
Or, if you're really REALLY bored, you can peruse The Casino Carpet Gallery for some blinding examples of Vegas class (hee!)
See y'all back here on Friday, Wish me luck! *mwah*
