It's been one of those off-kilter weeks for me. Since returning from vacation, it's taken me a surprisingly long time to get back in the swing of things here at home. We arrived home a week ago and I was staring down the barrel of two weddings last weekend, clearly that was a bit much.
I booked those weddings last winter, when I was a little more ambitious than I should have been. It all sounded like a fine idea then. But when I was faced with the reality of it, not so much. Whew!

All week long I've been playing catch-up with work. I have a slew of client meetings and lots of coddling and soothing to do with my brides. I'd much rather be playing with the actual FLOWERS, but i have to put in all the face time first. I have one nightmare bride this season and one nightmare Mother of the bride. Both of whom I've had to interact with this week.
I do have a fun wedding coming up this weekend, so I am pleased about that and looking forward to it a great deal.

In lieu of any real content, I thought I'd better come up with a few things that do make me happy, lest I turn into too much of a curmudgeon!

#1 The mandevilla vines I bought on Monday! Ahhh so happy!

#2 Sugar-free horchata mix! Found at the local Mexican grocery. I love horchata but my blood sugars get funky with sugary beverages anymore so this is a great substitute for me.

#3 Looking forward to Sunday at home with my hubby, and NO work (no email or phone answering either!)
I'm actually trying to take most Sundays off this summer (so my family members won't stage a revolt and head off to find a new Mommy!)

#4 The new laptop I ordered! (Hurry hurry and get here!)

#5 The hummingbirds that have been zooming around my yard playing tag today. Cheeky little things!

Okay, I feel better already! Breathe! Breathe!

Back soon! xox

We're baaaaaaaaaaack!

Well hi there!

Just a quick post with a couple of photos. Vacation was good but thoroughly exhausting! These few photos are from the first part of our trip to hubby's hometown of Hampton, Virginia. My stepson Charlie graduated from high school and that was the main reason for our trip. We did get some sightseeing in along the way too.

The kids are happy to discover the waffle house, and the "House wine of the South"... sweet tea!

The girlie with MAKEUP on! It matches her blouse and her braces too!

Back soon as soon as I get more of the photos edited, and some time to put them up! oy!
