A.W.O.L. !

Sorry for abandoning my blog for a while! Family stuff and work has kept me sooo busy! I really love the hustle and bustle of Summer, but I do look forward to the Fall when things calm down a bit!
It's been a whole lot of kid stuff around here. Most evenings have been "game night"... a lot of scrabble playing, as it's something we can all do together in the evenings.

We've been doing some more Geocaching, (see link in my previous post for more info on that!) and the boychild came down with an unfortunate case of poison oak, when he and a couple friends took an ill-advised trip through a creek as it was getting dark.
Eek!! He's really susceptible to it and he's been pretty miserable. I'm going to look into Ivy Block for him to try and ward off the worst of it! We'll be going camping in a couple weeks so wish us luck! Leaves of three, let it be!

Here are a couple of our geocaching finds. The piece of hollowed out riftwood was an especially nice "hide"

I've been knitting and crocheting too. My Kiri shawl, while not in time for a county fair entry, is progressing a bit. I have no idea when it'll be finished, but I love the pattern and the yarn I'm using, so it's a pleasant and unhurried project.

I've also been teaching daughter to crochet, and I showed her how to make a little soap bag for the shower. It might actually prompt me to make some home made soap for holiday gifts this year. Yes, I am working on holiday gifts already, sick, huh?

Finally, my funky little vintage trailer!! Her restoration work has been slow but progress has been made. I have her outside paint almost done. I so love the aqua color. It makes me indescribably happy!
Hubby has been working on paneling and hopefully she will be back on the road soon!
Here is the photo of her new paint. I'm still working on polishing her aluminum edge trim. that's my goal for the week, to get that done and put back on!

Okay, whew! I hope I haven't overwhelmed anyone with pics, Feast or famine, yanno! :)
