Edited to add...

Yes, the callas did arrive, and they are gorgeous!! You can't really see the vases here but the callas are arranged about 16-18 to a 5"x5" clear glass cube vase with some greenery, nothing else. very simple!
I'll try to take some pics when the flowers are on the tables and aren't all clumped together!
The company I used is called fiftyflowers.com and I couldn't be more pleased! Their packing was awesome, their service was great and their product is fabulous. I'm a happy camper!
I'm just taking a litle break for a cup of coffee and then I'll be off to load the van with the wedding flowers! Back soon! *mwah*

Assorted Rambling
My camera is AWOL! I have oodles of gorgeous flowers and I'll have to take some pics with the old-school 35 mm camera and have them developed. I don't know where my digital wandered off to!
Things are looking good for tomorrow's wedding and I'm not nearly as stressed out as I sometimes am.
I have a quick meeting to go to this evening, so I managed to get tonight's dinner all ready for husband and kids to put in the oven while I'm gone. Friday is traditionally pizza night here at our house (take-and-bake or homemade, I wont pay the price for take-out pizza on a regular basis!)
I didnt feel like take-and-bake so I made up a batch of pizza dough in the breadmaker and put together three different types of pizza. A margherita pizza with fresh tomato and basil, a pesto pizza with daughter's first try at homemade pesto (It's as good as you'd expect from a nine year old aspiring chef who is addicted to the FoodTv network!) and last but not least, a caramelized onion tart/pizza. (Mmmmmmm! That's my favorite of the three!) I also put together a peach cobbler, so tonight is all set! I just hope there's some left for me when I get back from my meeting!
I havent really been knitting much the last couple of days. I'll probably work on a sock that I have on the needles if I have some time later tonight. Tomorrow starts early, and I'm working as a banquet captain for the catering company after I deliver the flowers, so I'll be staying on for the reception. It'll be a LONG day!
Sunday, I go to San Francisco to meet with a bride who is coming in from Texas to do a walk through at her wedding site. She and her groom have chosen a destination wedding at The Golden Gate Club, one of the buildings at the Presidio of San Francisco. (the former Enlisted Club)
It's such a gorgeous location, I love working there!
Whew, it's going to be a busy weekend! At least Monday is a FREE DAY for me, I'm counting the hours!
Have a great weekend, I'll be back soon! *mwah*
P.S. Hiya to my new Secret Pal if you're reading this! :)

Still Waiting!
Good Morning! I'm back from the flower mart early, and awaiting my Fed-Ex shipment of calla lilies.
They were cut at the farm in Ecuador on Sunday afternoon, and in the last 24 hours, according to the Fed-Ex tracking site, they've been through customs in Miami, visited Ft Lauderdale and Memphis, and have arrived in Oakland. I'm happy they're in my time zone! They are due here before noon. You can bet I'll have pics of these well-traveled darlings after they arrive!
Back later, off to unload the flower van and feed some hungry birdies!

Flying Flowers

Where, oh where can my calla lilies beeee????
Thanks to the miracle of trade in the modern age, the calla lilies (several hundred of them, anyhow) have left Ecuador and should be here by 10 a.m. Wednesday morning. I'm not sure where they'll be coming through U.S. Customs. I wonder where the express check-thru lane is? Hee!
Speaking of weddings, one of my weddings I did a while back is featured as one of the "Real Weddings" on weddingchannel.com this month. Click here to see a little slide show.
And hey, this is a knitting blog too, who knew!
I have been knitting, just not much photo worthy right now. I'm at about 30% complete on the girlchild's poncho that I began the other night. It's turning out well but looks like a big blob on the needles at the moment. I love it when I can release raglan knitted items from their circular needle and the ugly ducklings suddenly turn to swans!
Daughter's "chocolate berries" hat is at about 85%. She left for her dad's house before she could finish the crown decreases. She's sure got the hang of it though!
And, last but not least, I saw this on Larissa's site and HAD to link to it as well. Check out Janet Morton's art site. I LOVE that "sweater bike" sooo much! Although my family already thinks that my knitting is a bit out of hand. If I knitted something like that, they'd really think I was round the bend!
Hmm, maybe I AM! :)
Back soon! *mwah*
