Honey, does this candy make my bucket look big???
It's been a while since I shared anything with y'all... It's been a crazy busy week. I can't believe it's almost the middle of November! I thought I'd better share my little Halloween story before it's too late!
Picture if you will, yours truly, sitting out in the driveway on Halloween night.
We have a TON of trick-or-treaters in our neighborhood every year so it is much easier to sit out with a table and decorations and a huge container of candy than to spend all night opening and closing the door. It also gives me a good chance to see all the little kids in their costumes, and visit a bit with the neighbors, etc...
At any rate, I'm out sitting next to my decorated table, with skulls and candles and pumpkins and all that fun stuff, and I have the candy container, a gigantic witch cauldron of candy sitting on my lap.
The street is full of trick or treaters and their parents. My hubby even decided to come out to visit with me and give out candy and glow sticks and treats to the children.
All of a sudden, I hear a man's voice out in the street, a father excitedly telling his children "Let's go over to that house! You want to go over there because that lady has a really BIG bucket!"
To which my husband, quite indignantly and quite loudly replies "Sir, how dare you talk about my wife that way!"
BWAH!
The poor man was sooo embarrassed. I don't think he knew WHAT to say! Of course, my hubby thought it was HILARIOUS. (Have I mentioned he has a weird sense of humor?)
Of course, the "big bucket" jokes have been nonstop around here ever since.
I'm sure I'll have the last laugh next week when I'm walking around in Vegas with a coin bucket full of money that I'm going to win! I'm sure my big bucket will be properly appreciated then! Hmmph! ;)
